New Pope
Hmm, so we have a new pope. Unfortunately he's a big ally of the late John Paul II, so it seems unlikely the Catholic Church will modernise its attitude towards condoms, which was my biggest gripe with the previous pope.

we now have a pope who is a former member of the Hitler Youth. Be still, my beating heart..
true, although he was forcibly conscripted. still seems to be an asshole though.
Perhaps - but you know the only reason he left he nazi party was (apparently) because they didn't like Catholicism, as it had its roots in the hated Jewish religion.
that's what made him decide the nazis weren't for him. nothing to do with their empirical, genocidal plans. or bad hair.
he's not going to modernise though is he? he thinks the church should shrink and only include true believers.
